“HANDS ON CONSTRUCTION”
303’s main objectives for the project were to create a flexible, transparent environment that encourages creativity & fosters collaboration amongst staff, clients and partners.
RAD responded to the brief by utilised these core principles to drive the planning creating a central heart from which energy radiates out through an open plan environment.
Located in the centre of the space the semi-transparent boardroom is the power that radiates out from the centre. Constructed using honeycomb poly-carbonate (a material used traditionally for warehouse rooves) to create operative screens gives an industrial essence whilst allowing various levels of interaction, transparency & privacy.
Moving away from a traditional reception area “the nest” sculpture was designed and built personally by Richard Alexander & uses off the shelf materials of 3” x 1” timber. The dynamic of this space is energetic & at the same time a welcoming gesture for the entry.
Drawing on experience in film set design, simple architectural gestures are realised in a cost effective & efficient manner. The space has provided for an invigorating experience for 303 & their business.
